Bike Ride

Not really too much to report today, and I'm not sure if I wrote this in here before. The other day, probably a week ago or so, Lincoln and I went for a bike ride around the block  (He biked, I walked and took pictures.) I can't believe how good he's doing on his bike. He can actually get himself going uphill now and works the breaks like a pro! (Although, once he got a bit ahead and I told him to stop. He did. Then when I told him he could go again, he was kind of on a lopsided part of the sidewalk and he pedalled like crazy but his training wheels were holding him up and the main tire wasn't touching the sidewalk at all. It was almost like he was on a stationary bike. It was pretty funny.

I let him bike to the park to play after our trip around the block. Once at the park, there were a bunch of East Indian people there. The elderly men usually walk around the school and then sit at a picnic bench and talk and the elderly women, usually do a few laps walking the opposite way around the school and then they sit near the school on the steps and talk as well. Anyway, when we got there, only one elderly East Indian male was there yet. He was wearing a bright red turban. Lincoln has seen these before. This should not have been a new experience for him, but just as we got close to him, Lincoln points and loudly says, "Look Mommy! A guy from the palace!" No more Aladin watching for him anymore!!

On our way around the block there is this dirt road and he chose to take that route instead of the main road. He kept saying, "We're going down the dusty road. Right Mom?"

He was pretty excited about it.

Gaining speed down the dirt road.

It ws a great way to end the day. We're going to have to do this more often!
